Design Wall Monday #12

A couple of weeks ago I posted the beginning of this quilt, which was inspired by a bag of donated scraps. The pattern is called "Hip Baby" and my version is a little brighter than the pattern...seems I can't help myself! LOL

It has been a great "mindless" project to work in between piecing arcs over the last couple of weeks. The blocks are 6 1/2" and use up mostly 1 1/2" squares and strips.

This is a great easy pattern. I am trying to decide what to do for a friend with breast cancer. This might just be it!

So bright and energetic! That would be a good one for cleaning out my 1.5" strip bin. Will definitely have to remember this!

I love that you got so much out of those scraps. I like those plaids, they look shimmery from a distance.

Nifty quilt. Personally, if I am going to do a lot of piecing (even if it is easy piecing) I want to be able to see it. And, with that wonderful blue and green quilt you can! Good job. And, wow, a neat way to use small scraps.

Don't ever apologize for the colors you love. This is going to be beautiful! To some of us, (myself, anyway) It is not possible to have TOO bright colors in your project! I love bright fabric for my artwork. I use very small pieces and colorful exotic yarns and threads. Stop by and see.http://kbartdesigns.com
