November's UFO

This month's project is from the Fat Quarter Shop quiltalong from 2013. It was called "Deckade the Halls" and celebrated their 10th year in business. The pattern is still available (and still free!) if you want to make your own Christmas celebration quilt.
My first step is to sew the quilt top together since it's still in sections. Then I need to figure out what I have that might work for borders, backing, and binding.
It would be wonderful to have this quilt finished in time for the family to snuggle up in while enjoying the special lights, music, and Christmas shows through out the holiday season.
To see the UFO goals being set by other quilters for this month, hop over to A Lovely Year of Finishes.

Not to make you do any more work or anything : ) .... but with all of the row by row quilts out lately wouldn't this pattern also be cute as a row by row. HUM>>> dangerous thinking for ME that usually leads me to my fabric stash. I dug out some Long over due Christmas wall
hangings last night I am hoping to finish in time for my daughters to actually enjoy them this year! First hurdle accomplished.... One is basted!!!!! Cheering you on to the finish line!

I still have all my clues printed off! Will look forward to watching your quilt go together. I think I might need to make some of the wreaths today when I get to play with my machine.

Sweet motifs for the season. I'm going to return to the monthly UFO method in the new year. Hmm, I have a Christmas quilt ready to baste and quilt....

I recall downloading these patterns as you were making each step. That is as far as mine went, but I enjoyed watching yours happen. I have couple of Christmas flimsies and I promised myself last Christmas that I would have them quilted by this Christmas. I think I really meant next Christmas. : )

I saved a few of these patterns for making some pillows - never did. This shouldn't take any time as you have them all done. Will be a great Christmas quilt.

I agree! That will be a fun one to snuggle with as you Celebrate Christmas this year. Getting the Blocks made is sometimes the easy part. I didn't do that SAL. I seem to recall watching you do it though. I think I'm learning that I don't have to make EVERY quilt I see. My resistance is weak at the New Year though and I try to do everything...

Oh that's fun! I love the mugs for some reason - it's making me think of drinking hot chocolate beside an open fire mmmm! Be careful, you might start making me feel festive if you're not careful!
